Artmaking belongs in conversations about health. And this fellowship is helping make that possible. ✨

Over the past three months, our Founder, Sammy, had the privilege of participating in the Global Arts in Medicine Fellowship, connecting with professionals from across the globe who are advancing the field of Arts in Health in meaningful and innovative ways.

While the program sessions have come to an end, the journey is just beginning. As a newly inducted Fellow through Cohort 10, Sammy joins a growing network of leaders committed to expanding access to arts-based approaches that support health, wellbeing, and human connection.

The knowledge gained, relationships built, and perspectives shared throughout the fellowship will help shape and strengthen the work we do here at The Ugly Art Studio as we continue creating opportunities for our community to experience the health benefits of artmaking.

Calling all Lake Nona teens! Join us tonight for a new kind of art class - Watercolor for Wellbeing will show you how to use painting as a tool for stress release and anxiety reduction, while sparking joy and connection with new friends.

Registration includes a healthy dinner, a guided art workshop, AND participants get to take home this art kit!

You've got questions, we've got answers.

How far in advance should we inquire?

For facilitated workshops, three to four weeks lead time is comfortable. Bulk kit orders depend on quantity, and we will confirm a timeline in our first reply. Shorter timelines are sometimes possible, so ask.

Do you serve organizations outside Florida?

Yes. Live virtual workshops and bulk art kit orders ship and run nationwide. Facilitated onsite workshops currently serve the Orlando and Central Florida area.

What should we include in our inquiry?

Your setting, an estimated group size, the formats you are curious about, and any timing you already know. Rough details are fine. Part of our job is helping you figure out the rest.

Where is The Ugly Art Studio located?

Currently, we do not have a brick and mortar location. Our team is located in Orlando, Florida and we travel within central and south east Florida for onsite facilitation and workshops.
