The first thing you notice at The House Healer in College Park is how good it smells. Incense, candles, and room sprays give the shop a light, lovely scent.

The second thing you notice is how it feels: welcoming. That’s on purpose. Owner Nicole Belle is an interior designer, and her shop is set up like a cozy room in a friend’s home, with wooden shelves, woven baskets, handmade ceramics, crystals, and a stack of Women Living Deliciously.

Nicole opened her College Park storefront in September 2026, and The Ugly Art Studio has been on her shelves from the start. Our FLOW, FROLIC, and HONOR boxes sit next to work from makers like The Joy Bomb Squad and The Glitter Method. It’s our first brick-and-mortar shelf, and a great example of women supporting women: one shop owner making room for a whole community of makers.

Meet Nicole Belle

Nicole started out styling homes, then moved into renovations, taught Feng Shui, and managed showrooms. Today her company, The House Healer, takes on everything from kitchen remodels to Airbnb staging. Her whole philosophy fits in one line from her website: “My intention is to make your home feel as good as it looks.”

She makes crystal jewelry and sun catchers too, so she’s been on the maker side of the counter herself.

“I’ve always loved small, thoughtfully curated spaces, and I’m grateful to have created one that brings art, design, and wellness together. Sharing that space with like-minded local artists like Ugly Art Studio, whose work and mission are so meaningful, makes it even more special,” says Nicole.

Why we fit right in

The Ugly Art Studio is a woman-owned studio based in Lake Nona, Orlando, founded by Samantha Dunne, a Global Arts in Medicine Fellow. Our name carries our whole philosophy: art doesn’t have to be good to be good for you.

We create artmaking-for-wellbeing experiences for healthcare settings, workplaces, and communities. Our focus is the making itself, with room to try something new and connect with the people around you.

Nicole designs rooms around how they make people feel. We do the same with artmaking, which is why our work fits so naturally in her shop.
